Dr. Andreas Köpke, Partner
For more than ten years Dr. Andreas Köpke has gained substantial management and international experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. In his previous roles as Head of Business Development (Devgen), CEO (WITA Proteomics) and Associate Director of Collaboration & Technology Transfer (Johnson & Johnson) he has closed important deals, initiated and lead merger discussions and a company sale. He also organized departments and supported a very successful IPO.

More recently, Andreas Köpke offers strategic advice and takes part in the management of a German biotech company in the areas of business development, finance, operations, and IP. He is a specialist for pre-clinical pharmaceutical project and technology evaluation, licensing and IP. He has also experience in clinical development programs and co-led in-licensing activities for clinical compounds. He has established a strong personal network throughout Europe, North America and Japan.

Andreas Köpke studied chemistry and biochemistry in Berlin and won the Otto-Hahn-Medal 1989 for his PhD thesis. In his academic career he has worked in various Max-Planck-Institutes in Germany and at the University of Victoria in Canada and published 25 papers. His working languages are German, English and Dutch.
