Dr. Axel Obermeier, Partner
Axel Obermeier has nearly two decades of experience in science and industry. He is founder and manager of Axel Obermeier Life Science Consulting (AOLSC) offering scientific analysis and financial valuation (eNPV) of R&D projects and portfolios in the context of fund raising, investing, restructuring, licensing, and M&A. Prior to this, he was a senior consultant at BioScience Valuation. In these roles he has supported numerous international biotech and pharma companies and investors.

He spent several years within academic and corporate research, assay development, drug discovery and development. He worked as a research fellow for Glaxo in Singapore and London, as the Group Leader Cell Biology at GPC Biotech and as the Director Biology/Pharmacology and later Director Research/acting CSO at Sirenade Pharmaceuticals, where he also played a key role in the company’s roadshow and M&A process.

Axel Obermeier studied biology in Regensburg and Heidelberg, supported by a scholarship from the "Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes". During his Ph.D. in Prof. Axel Ullrich’s lab (Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry) he was awarded the Adolf Butenandt fellowship. He has authored 18 scientific papers and several patents.
