Dr. Voker Ungermann, Partner
Dr. Volker Ungermann has 16 years of management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and diagnostics industry, with most of his career dedicated to global corporate and business development as well as marketing. Most recently he founded Volker Ungermann - Business Development in Life Science advising Health Care companies in all aspects of business development operations from identification of projects to contract drafting and negotiation. He offers strategic advice to executives and interim management on a corporate level.

He has held senior management positions - Vice President Business Development at immatics biotechnologies, Global Senior Director Corporate Licensing at ALTANA Pharma and at Nycomed Group, Head of Project Coordination and Business Development at Sanofi and Product Manager and Project Manager at DIFCO Laboratories (Becton Dickinson). In these roles he successfully accomplished more than 20 international License and Partnering agreements covering projects at all stages of the pharmaceutical value chain from pre-clinical projects to marketed products. He also played a key role in several Mergers & Acquisitions transactions. During the merger of Sanofi and Synthelabo he served as an Integration Manager successfully securing the re-organization of the companies and the respective change management processes.

Volker Ungermann studied biology in Frankfurt and Tuebingen and completed his studies with a PhD in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Tuebingen. His working languages are English and German.
